EYNFF – Your Sector Needs Your Response

Gov.ukTo all PVI Providers in Birmingham – the EYNFF Consultation is here

Its been a pleasant Summer and the new term approaches. Time for us to get straight back into the swing of things and we need your help if you have any concern for your future funding rate. In case you missed it there is an extremely important Early Years National funding Formula Consultation under way and responses must be made by September 22nd. Now as your representative group we will be sending in a response BUT our voice will be small without the support of you, our members and subscribers! We’ll help you as much as we can and have put in links to others views below but it is vital that as a region the response from Birmingham is heard because although we may have a potential rate of £4.44 we would question that this is sufficient for the largest authority in the country  Responses can be done online here.

Now if you are finding the whole thing a bit confusing then you can read various blogs about some of the factors here and here and a discussion forum here. Although of course Members can discuss in our own forum by logging in. These blogs have links to the various documents and an example response included in these. It seems another injustice might be about to be done – you can support the campaign for fairer funding by entering your comparison data in the blog or on this page. The more responses the better the more chance we have of getting out voice heard – this really is a numbers game!

In other news we still have the Ofsted Big Conversation happening on September 17th in Wolverhampton. Love them or hate them this gives you an opportunity to talk to them direct. You can book tickets direct through Eventbrite.

We can also share the Minutes of the Early Years Forum meeting on 4th July with you and the Agenda for the meeting on 13th September.

In other news we have to report the resignation of our Chair, Sarah Presswood, due to personal pressures. Our Vice-Chair is holding the reigns until our next meeting when we hope to offer candidates for election. If anyone is interested in becoming Chair then please do let Sara know through the vicechair@pvisupportbirmingham.org.

Have you joined us as a member yet? During the next 6 months we will be moving our mailings over to subscribers and members who are signed up through the website. Make sure we have your details in order to stay in touch.
