Measles Outbreak

To make everyone aware, Birmingham is currently experiencing an outbreak of Measles. To date there haveut been 18 confirmed cases. 16 of these have been within the Roma community; B8, B9 and B10 predominantly. There are, however, indications that the virus is moving into the local population. Funding Consultation Response Summary 2017

Hot off the presses, we have now been given the Consultation Response Summary from the recent Early Years Funding Consultation. The big headline is that the Cabinet have approved the new rate of funding for the PVI sector, as of 1st April 2017, to be £4.23 per hour for 3 & 4 year olds, increasing to £4.26 per hour from 1st April 2018, subject to final checks from BCC's legal bodies.
